Welcome to the Vacation Simulator: a rough approximation of VACATION inspired by real human NOT JOBBING. Although this game is playable on PS5, some features available on PS4 may be absent. But it’s manageable, at least. To play this game on PS5, your system may need to be updated to the latest system software. Anyone have any recommendations? Job Simulator has the same issue, with the frustration of the “play area” being too close. It was frustrating but manageable when I started, but it’s now completely unplayable. This has occurred in the last 90 minutes or so. It kind of seems like it’s getting closer and closer to the camera, as well. I can’t even stick my hands out all the way. I can’t raise my hands above my head, and if my hands sit at my waist, the controllers won’t track. Restarting the game with the camera in a new position does nothing. I’m literally standing 3 feet away from the camera, meaning that I can’t reach for hardly anything in view. I’ve tried to move my camera around, using the space button to recalibrate (which, of course, doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do in this game, it just shows you where you’re supposed to be standing, which doesn’t help at all). The play area for the game is way, way too close to my camera. Really enjoying the game so far but there’s one major issue. I just bought Vacation Simulator today, been looking forward to it for a while. Game Discussions Previous AMAs PSVR Dev? Here's little something I cooked up (I did manage to finish it too): ```````````````````` Movers also seem to get stuck with stayers. Your level editor is magnificent, being able to just copy-paste your levels as text is great, although I can second the complaint about the space for movers. If you want even more challenge for designing levels, add elements that interact with each other, like enemies that bounce off each other.Īnd I'm surprised /u/IsmoLaitela didn't suggest you portals! Come on! It would make the level designing more and less challenging though. I think being able to have some control on your falling speed would be one. What sort of novel spin can I put on the game? Can't blame since 3 days prototype, but keep these in mind. Camera should be MORE closer and the lack of speedfeel is unexisting. It was kinda confusing at the moment.Įven editor shows that there a enought space for movers to go, there's not. If I may suggest, put starting width to 10 or 20, not 1. Level editor was kinda weird to use at the beginnin, but loading a testlevel made much much more sense.Airplane crash and then you are falling? Some weird hobby in the future?.The core of the game is solid,Īnd a little polishing and refinement would take the whole package up a notch. Making it easier to jump onto and between platforms would go a long way. The levels felt a bit cramped, and the jump mechanic seemed to beĪ little unrefined. Of being in the middle of a chaotic battlefield. The retro audio, visual, and gameplay melded together for a nice nostalgia trip. I did like the sfx for the weapons/lightning, explosions in the game. The music was catchy, but eventually I wanted to turn it down because it got overly repetitive.Perhaps add something to the spawners that indicates when a new enemy is about to spawn? Sometimes enemies would spawn and I would feel a bit cheated because I had no warning. The spotlight on the player was a great touch. The retro aesthetic is cool, but sometimes seemed a little too low res.The white jumpsuit the player is wearing adds a lot to the character.
WHY ISN'T THIS EXPLAINED AT CHECKOUT OR ON THE PRODUCT'S WEBPAGE? IT'S DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING AND A WASTE OF CUSTOMERS' TIME! I'd add a photo, but I immediately returned the calendar and got my money back. I can't do "Same Day Pick Up" to save delivery charges. In order to get the same product design that I saw on the Website, I would have to pay overpriced shipping charges to ship it from the manufacturer to my house. It seems that products generated by that kiosk might have a different design from what is pictured at the CVS Website. It looks like "Same Day Pick Up" products ordered from the Website are made on a kiosk at a local CVS. The cashier explained that when one chooses the "Same Day Pick Up" option, the calendar isn't bound. When I picked it up at the store, it wasn't as pictured on the Website - the calendar lacked the wire binding that holds the pages together and lets one hang the calendar. Over the weekend, I spent hours creating a calendar. What you see on the CVS photo Website isn't what you get. At CVS Photo, you can turn your photos into gifts and pieces of art that will be cherished. I hope he used that extra $1.10 for good use. Then the cashier ripped my off by quoting the different price other than the amount on the receipt. I needed those photos, so I had to do it. Then I ordered the same set of photos to see if it works this time, then waited a few days before picking them up.ĬVS is the only store in town to print photos in town so, they can play monopoly. It didn't make no sense to me to drive around for a few photos for the store. The store manager came out, she didn't help me a bit but tried to talk over me, then wanted me to go to another store(same area code), I didn't go this time. So I drove to another store, they didn't have it either. The cashier wanted me to go to another CVS to find out if they have it, I insisted that he call them on the phone to find out(same area code, which means it doesn't cost them a penny). One previous one was the one I was notified notified in e-mail about a week ago but when I went to the store the same day, the order wasn't there. The cashier told me to pay $1.10 more than the amount on the receipt. First is getting an engineering team in to properly target the hardware. All of which require Namco to spend more money. That being said however there are solutions to those problems that do not require having the GC code. So no telling if the 60fps assets are still around. Assets were likely adjusted using tools to better suit the new frame rate. Anything handling frame rates was likely tossed out to help make the source files smaller and reduce compile times. There is a good chance that when the port was done the code for GC was deleted as they worked. I wouldn't even be sure they have the source for the PS2 version in all honesty. Developers aren't a massive collective that you can just apply "they" too.Īs far as source code goes. Wed 30th Nov Namco really has no control over those franchises.Other enhancements made include skipping events and cutscenes, additional save screen information, and minor quality-of-life improvements." There are also improved controls for navigating the Elemental Cargo ship so players can easily travel the seas. "Players can look forward to sharper and crisper in-game visuals when compared to our earlier TALES OF SYMPHONIA CHRONICLES and Steam releases, including enhanced character models and environments such as the town and the overworld. A sequel, Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, launched on the Wii a few years later in 2008. The original game first launched for the GameCube back in 2003 to positive critical reception and strong sales. In their second interaction, Leila revealed that she learned what a Cyber Newtype was. Zero realized she knew nothing and told her it was best not to know. Leila asked him what a Cyber Newtype was. At first, Zero sensed that Leila was the Cyber Newtype created because of him. When fighting alongside Leila, the two has a series of special dialogue. The enhanced Newtype project would then produce three more subjects: NT-002, NT-003, and NT-004. If Gihren refuses, Zero would defect from Zeon along with NT-001, to a random faction other than the Titans. If Gihren agrees, Zero would join Zeon as a pilot. However, Zero would find out about this and become furious, demanding that Gihren stop the research at once. Should Gihren agree, the project would then produce the enhanced Newtype pilot NT-001. Gihren would later be given the option to enhance low level Newtypes using the Murasame Lab data that Zero brought. If Gihren accepts, Zero would give him the Psycho Gundam blueprints. In exchange for developing a cure for Cyber Newtypes, he would provide the Principality of Zeon with the Psycho Gundam blueprints. In the Zeon scenario, Zero would break through the defenses of Side 3 to negotiate with Gihren Zabi. He was apparently traumatized by Operation British in the past, as he swore to destroy "those who made the sky fall". He would also steal the blueprints for the MRX-009 Psycho Gundam from the lab. Zero would eventually turn on his creators, single-handedly destroying the entire Murasame Lab in the Prototype Gundam Mk-II. Due to being a prototype, he was not given an official number and named "Zero". The first Cyber Newtype created by the Murasame Newtype Laboratory. He was also able to effectively pilot the RX-178-X0 Prototype Gundam Mk-II, a mobile suit that had high performance but poor balance and was extremely difficult to control. Zero was an exceptionally skilled pilot, capable of single handedly destroying Murasame Lab and breaking through the defenses of Side 3 and Jaburo. He felt a strong sense of guilt and responsibility towards Leila Raymond, since he was indirectly responsible for her creation. He was even willing to let go of his pride and beg Gihren Zabi to stop the enhanced Newtype program when. He had a strong complex towards his Cyber Newtype status (implying that his insistence of being the "true Newtype" was a coping mechanism), wanting to cure himself of it and prevent others from suffering the same fate. Outside of battle, however, Zero appeared to be more stable, able to break through his brainwashing and even defect to Zeon to seek help when needeed. He was also somewhat mentally unstable, and would laugh maniacally or toy with his opponents. In battle, Zero had a very aggressive and extremely confident personality, insisting to Newtype opponents that he was the true Newtype and even belittling Amuro Ray. He was irritated with himself for not being able to find a purpose beyond battle, and hated the fact that his personality was given to him by the lab. As a Cyber Newtype, Zero was conditioned with a strong hatred against the Principality of Zeon by the Murasame Newtype Laboratory, who took advantage of his past trauma due to Operation British. That expansive angle does cause the Action 3 challenges when balancing exposure across the frame. Waterproofing to 16m gives the DJI solid diving credentials, while its 155-degree field of view is wider than any GoPro’s. Pairing the guts of the Action 2 with the classic action cam styling of the original, it’s a tough tool with strong battery life and decent video skills. It can’t compete with the GoPro Hero 11 Black on outright image quality, but the DJI Osmo Action 3 represents fantastic value. Read our in-depth Insta360 One R 1-Inch Edition review A flexible 5K camera with solid low-light skills, the Insta360 One R is one of the best action cams around. Its 1-inch sensor also handles the crop of image stabilization better than most. The One R also lacks the point-and-shoot simplicity of a GoPro, with more sluggish software when it comes to exporting.Īll the same, the Insta360 One R produces some of the best stills and video you can get from an action camera. That said, we found also found that GoPro’s processing powers are more effective overall, with video from the Insta360 One R suffering from shimmer and fizz in detailed areas. Its raw stills are impressive, while videos are sharp and punchy, in both 5.23K/25p and 4K/60p modes. In our review, we found that this gives it low-light abilities which are brighter, cleaner and more detailed than its GoPro rivals, plus a native dynamic range that's better than any other action camera. We’ve summarized our findings in the list below, along with useful buying advice to help you pick which action camera is right for you.Īlready a proven rival to GoPro’s Hero series, the modular Insta360 One R is now available with a sizeable 1-inch sensor. The Samsung also has the more powerful GPU and while it has a lot more pixels on its screen, few games will actually render at full resolution so we put more weight on the offscreen performance. The Galaxy S7 comes out ahead in multi-core tests but not by much. Its big Twister cores have great single-core performance, which makes the life of an iOS app developer easy. Again, iOS devs have it easy since they have to target Apple A9 and A9X (for iPads), allowing them to optimize their games better. GFX 3.0 Manhattan (onscreen)īasemarkES 3.1 shows an advantage for the Mali-T880 over Adreno 530 (it was the reverse in GFX), so the particular 3D engine a game uses may affect performance. The other option is to reduce fidelity, a QHD screen is its own form of anti-aliasing. That said, iPhone devs can get very close to 60fps at native resolution, while Galaxy S7 games will run closer to 30fps if they go for QHD. Some games don't actually use the full screen resolution, but instead render internally at lower resolution. 1,440 x 2,560px, That's less than a third of the pixel count! Of course, the Apple iPhone 6s has to render at much lower resolution than the Galaxies - 750 x 1,334px vs. Looking at the offscreen test (which ignores screen resolution), the Adreno comes out as the clear winner, with the Mali and PowerVR roughly equal. We have three different GPUs - a Mali-T880 in the Exynos Galaxy S7, an Adreno 530 in the Snapdragon 820 version and a PowerVR GT7600 in the Apple handset. GeekBench 3 (multi-core)īasemark OS 2.0 points to the S820-based Galaxy as the winner in overall performance, while the Exynos version is at the bottom, hot on the heels of the iPhone 6s. The Snapdragon 820 design again falls between it and the iPhone. The "octa-core" label often hides low-power Cortex-A53 cores, so a well-built Android app has to split its workload among as many cores as possible.Ī properly powerful chip like the Exynos 8890 shines on multi-threaded tests and turns the tables on the other two. IOS devs know their target device very well - 2 cores, that's it - while their Android colleagues have to deal with many octa-core CPUs of different makes. "Even bigger" since in single-core performance the Apple-designed processor comes out on top, Mongoose is on the bottom (despite the clock speed advantage) and Kryo splits the difference. The big Kryo cores top out at 2.15GHz while the even bigger Twister cores go to 1.84GHz max. If only two Mongoose cores are engaged, they boost to 2.6GHz, up from the top speed of 2.3GHz when all four of them are online. The Exynos chipset features an optimization that helps it when the app uses few cores. Then there's the Apple A9, the iPhone 6s chipset, which has a dual-core processor with the Apple-designed Twister cores. We don't have an S820 Galaxy S7 around, so we'll include the scores of the S7 edge, which should perform identically. The Snapdragon 820 is all Qualcomm custom cores, Kryo, split into a big.LITTLE setup again, but there is only four cores in total, two in each cluster. The little cluster is made up of four Cortex-A53s. The Exynos 8890 uses Samsung's proprietary "Mongoose" cores, four of them in the big cluster. Its's custom core galore in this chapter. The "international" version, like the one we have, is powered by an Exynos 8890 chipset, while the one heading to the US (and other regions) is based on the Snapdragon 820. The Samsung Galaxy S7 comes in two different configurations (aimed at different regions). Cross-platform performance testing is a tricky subject, but the issues faced by benchmark developers that support both Android and iOS are the same that face app developers. Taking place in a post-apocalyptic world populated by sentient robots, the game begins as you tumble into a city completely surrounded by concrete walls. The city has been cut off from the outside world due to plague, leaving you trapped inside. The Zurks have evolved in the darkness to consume any living thing – organic or not. These Zurks create a man-eating barrier that can only be crossed by someone – or something as speedy and dexterous as a cat. However, as the saying goes, it is dangerous to go alone.
