![]() ![]() Yeah, I quit a pretty good job two years ago and am still unemployed. I moved back up north (cheaper rent/living and closer to family) and literally had my last paycheck and some savings and that was it.īut as soon as I left I got a ton of freelance work that kept me afloat in 2018 (turned out to be a really lucrative year, even though the uncertainty of freelance work scared me) and then I interviewed for 1 job in the Games Industry and got it in 2019 and I've been doing that ever since and I love it! I, initially, looked at other places to live - but I did start to feel like I had done everything I could after 26 months or so of working there. It all just 'happened' and came together. ![]() ![]() My landlord was selling the flat I was renting and finding anywhere else that would allow me to have my dog wasn't easy. When I first joined the boss said "I think you'll get a good two years out of working here" - I took that seriously.Ģ. The TV/Film job was great, small production company - I liked everyone working there, apart from drug culture on work nights out (which is very common in the industry I found out) which I didn't partake in - it was a really nice play to work.ġ. I came back one week later and handed him my keys and quit. During my vacation, I made up my mind that I was not going to do all the dirty work of closing down the site for him.
